Hello to all F64 Players - Over the years Peter and I have taken turns moving house. Peter to and from Panama - myself within metro Paris. Changing abode is disruptive on a personal level but moreso puts F64 at a standstill. Apologies in advance for this disruption but it comes again.
I am taking retirement quite seriously and moving to the south of France. The pace of things there is slower and the sun warmer. My wife and I are deep in the throws of collapsing our life in Paris and replanting in Languedoc.
This brings on a delay in F64 proceedings and we do hope you understand. I predict a return to normal business in the fall - We will notify you when things are on again - whilst in limbo, please use this space in comments as you wish. Think of it as the Café thread until the canteen opens anew.
Thanks to one and all for your patience as well as your understanding for the pause.

I feel relaxed myself looking at both of those photos. I want to live near there!
Just a quick note to let you know we are still in the midst of making the transition - more to follow.
We are still committed to a Fall return to normal business with contests. Peter and I are in contact constantly - we hope you can bear with us during the period of time between contests. Many thanks to all of you for your patience.

Note to those of you who use the BETA GROUPS version of flickr - I started getting locked out of the first page of discussions of any group that I am a member...long story. When I turn off the BETA groups experience (lower right corner) the discussions come back. Reporting this to flickr but wanted to get the word out just in case you had the same prob.

can't wait to play with you all again. I love fall so much, and look forward to shooting for this competition when it arrives! Hope everything is well for everyone and that the moving has gone smoothly!
We are still probably 30 days away from a game - sorry. Internet speeds in the south of France are like the pace of life...ohhh so slow ! We are still VERY committed to keeping the game alive and appreciate the patience of all who play whilst this evolution occurs. Soon...

no worries! Take the time needed. I'm just excited to play once everything is settled! <3
Another update - Peter had to relocate inland during the recent hurricane and will be returning to a (thankfully) home that avoided any major damage ! Whew !
Yet another update - We haven't forgotten about you !
While the move has been slow (everything is down here) there have also been a few obstacles that have continued to surface - not the least of which has been our internal network. Running lines in a solid stone house has it's own set of challenges - hammers and chisels overcome all - the server is up and running as is the network...now to tidy things up while the paint dries - stay tuned.

Weeks turn into months, how quick they pass!
Reality check here - knee deep in renovation on a very old home has made time available for photography (other than before and after shots) precious. This group and the game has not fallen off the radar...just inertia in action. A kitchen remodel is keeping my hands sore and each new discovery in the house opens a freight train of activity but we keep the pace. Have faith.

Hope everything is going well friends!
We sure get a lot of random stuff dumped into the pool during breaks like this haha. Miss you all.

Checking in here folks. Truth is that I have been up to my ass in alligators - the renovation we have been undertaking in S France has been a bitch ! Like dominoes, when I try to renovate one thing - it takes two trips to the hardware store and a new tool to make the repair. We are making progress however and the end of the really dirty work is in sight. Peter and I spoke yesterday about the future of F64 and all is not lost - even if it looks grim! Stay tuned -
Happy New Year!! Are we getting ready to play??

I do wonder if it's possible for others to try to take on the tasks needed to get the game running again, but I have a feeling it's much more complicated of a process than I assume.
