Would love some critique on my first crack at it!! Used lightroom to correct vignetting, white balance, etc and then merged as a panorama in photoshop! I understand its a boring pic... it was taken in my backyard! Personally id love to get my hands on an 85 1.2L to have an even smaller DoF but for the moment this will have to do!

You can do a lot with how you position yourself in regards to the chair/subject.
Try going down on your knees to lower the point of view. Move closer to the chair.
Honestly, 10-20 shots should be more than enough to really boost the DoF if you're just closer.
The below shot was done with just 20 shots. I was about two meters from the subject. Her upper torso and head filled the frame, just as an example of how close I was.
