Some questions regarding the Brenizer Method...
Actually i want to mimic the characteristics of medium-format cameras to shoot close-up portraits with a FF Dslr.... How the Brenizer method can help me to do that ?

Not very specific questions but i just wanted to know if the method applied is the same for close-up portraits..

Maybe progressive de-focus stacking could be the answer....

I imagine this being quite hard for close-up portraits. Maybe if you can get the main in-focus points (probably the eyes) all in one shot so you know you've got them sharp, then fill in the rest without too much worry about changing the camera to subject distance.

Tripod is useful. Also, live view. Zoom all the way in, focus, shoot.

I have done many close-up portraits, handheld, with just three images shot vertically with an 85mm f/1.8 lens, wide open. The results are wonderful! Here's a recent example:
