Happy 60th birthday to the LEGO brick!
To celebrate, we’re sending one amazing LEGO fan to the brand new LEGO House in Denmark. Create a custom LEGO creation based on the theme “LEGO: Reimagined” and you could win the trip of a lifetime or two other awesome LEGO prizes! The grand prize winner will travel to Billund, Denmark to experience the amazing LEGO House and attend Skærbæk Fan Weekend, one of the world’s premier LEGO conventions.

WHO CAN ENTER?
This building competition is open to United States residents who are 18 years old or older on April 30th, 2018. If you live outside the US, stay tuned as we hope to host more contests soon.

WHAT’S THIS ABOUT?
We want you to reimagine a LEGO set. You can make the set larger or smaller or incorporate it into a completely new world – the possibilities are endless! Celebrate the rich history of LEGO by putting your own spin on an official set. Your custom LEGO creation (MOC) contest entry must be built between March 15th, 2018 and April 30th, 2018. Judging will be based on creativity and how well your creation plays off the original set. The only requirement is that the creation must fit into a standard suitcase (length + height + width of bag must equal 62 inches or less and weigh no more than 50 pounds), since the grand prize winner will display their brick-built masterpiece at Skærbæk Fan Weekend 2018. Note: The grand prize winner must have a US passport or be able to obtain a US passport before July 1st, 2018.

HOW TO ENTER:
– Upload up to three photos of your “LEGO: Reimagined” custom creation to this Flickr group by 11:59 pm ET on April 30th, 2018.
– Your photo caption must include a brief description of how the custom creation is connected to an official LEGO set.
– All models must be built from physical bricks – no digital renderings.
– Third party pieces and stickers are allowed, but you must state in the photo description exactly which/how many non-LEGO elements were used.
– All entries must be built during the contest period (March 15th, 2018 to April 30th, 2018).
– Builds referencing sex, drugs, alcohol, politics, and depictions of weapons or other sensitive topics are not permitted.

Questions? Comment below and we’ll answer as soon as possible.

PRIZE DETAILS:
The grand prize winner will receive the following items:
– Roundtrip airfare to Billund, Denmark (depart US on September 26th, 2018; return to US on October 2nd, 2018).
– Three meals a day September 27th through October 1st, 2018.

Just to clarify ... are you trying to say the winner required to be a US citizen, i.e. a non-citizen living in the US is not eligible? Thank you.

Galaktek:

As long as you live in the United States and can fly out of a US airport in September, you are qualified.

Do the old Idea books count as "official LEGO sets" for the purpose of this contest. They have set numbers and everything ;)

Does a second person come with the winner or is this a singular trip?

No, the contest prize is only for one person.
