Group Description

Welcome to HandHeld Art. This is a themed contest and challenge group for images made on mobile devices.

Only contest entries will be invited to the pool.

Members, post your images in the contest thread, and then you will receive your invitation to post in the pool. If you're new to Flickr contests, instructions for how to post in a contest thread can be found HERE.

Our goal is to form a collection of innovative and artistic mobile works, and to build a community through the challenges.

Only manipulated photo art or art from scratch on a mobile device will be accepted. However, we are not purists. Images do not have to be taken on a phone, and some work in Photoshop is allowed, such as finishing for print, although the majority of the work should be done in mobile apps.



Awards will be provided for each contest according to theme. Please be generous in awarding others.

➟Images must be primarily created and/or edited on mobile or handheld devices such as phones and tablets, using mobile apps. At least 85% of your work should be mobile work. We have no ability or desire to police this, so please be on your honor to abide by this rule so that we can all see how creative you are with your handheld devices.

➟We only accept MANIPULATED, ARTISTIC, and CREATIVE images. NO SOOC (Straight
Out of Camera) or minimally touched up pieces will be accepted.

➟No commercial work or advertising.

➟No nudity, porn, cruelty, or politics. This is a family safe group and any work submitted should be suitable for children.

➟Credit MUST be given on all source images and textures that are not your own.

➟Please do not open any discussion threads. If you have questions or need help, please post
in our Questions and Thank You's thread HERE.

➟No offensive language, either in your images or toward others.

➟No blocking of admins.

➟Lightly enhanced photos that have simply been color adjusted or the like.

➟Images that have been edited solely on the computer.

➟Pornographic work or nudity.

➟Images depicting violence.

➟Images depicting discrimination or politics.

➟SIMs and Second Life images.
