25th October 1986 - Certain 28 now SMS Route 728

26th October 1986 - 29 now starts from Worthing and new 29A Shoreham Beach to Old Steine

27th April 1987 - 29 now goes via Brooklands

25th October 1987 - 29A replace by 29 (Old Steine to Shoreham Beach Peak Times) and Cedar Route 22 and new Route 29X Old Steine to Shoreham

29th October 1989 - 29X replace by 15X

27th May 1990 - 29X returns

14th August 1992 - 28 now go via Lewes Tesco

1st October 1995 - 28 No longer go via Lewes Tesco

26th May 1996 - 29X now via Buckingham Road and Extended to Steyning

6th October 1996 - 29 1 Journey in Each Direction

24th May 1998 - 29X Diverted via Connaught Ave

26th September 1999 - 29X No longer serves Connaught Ave

1st October 2000 - 28 Taken over by Stagecoach with Brighton and Hove running certain journeys as 28X and 1 28 from Ringmer to Brighton run by Brighton and Hove Buses

30th September 2001 - 29X replace by Route 2X

25th April 2004 - B&H 28 from Ringmer to Brighton now 28A and 29 renumered 59

26th April 2004 - 29 Brighton to Tunbridge Wells via Lewes, Uckfield and Crowborough join with Stagecoach and ARRVIA

26th September 2004 - 28X Withdrawn and 29 serves all stops between Churchill Square and Falmer Station

25th September 2005 - All 28 and 29 Journeys now run by Brighton and Hove Buses
Frequency every 15 Minutes with 28 to Ringmer every 30 minutes and 29 to Tunbridge Wells every 30 minutes and Sundays being either a 28 extended to Tunbridge Wells via Ringmer and Uckfield and 29.
Also New peak service 28A Lewes to Halisham, 28B Halisham to Brighton and 28C Lewes to Uckfield

13th November 2005 - Limited Stop between Chruchill Square and Falmer Station

23rd April 2006 - 28 Evening journeys no longer go via Palehouse Common

24th April 2006 - 28B now Halisham to Lewes and return from Brighton

22nd April 2007 - 28 and 29 Journey between Uckfield and Tunbridge Wells now 128 and 129

23rd September 2007 - 28A,28B and 28C now go via Brooks Road and all Journeys between Uckfield back to 28 or 29 and new 29A running every 60 minutes between Brighton and Tunbridge Wells via Whitehill. 28 also goes via Brooks Road

6th April 2008 - 28A Withdrawn and 28B replace by Renown 143 and 28C replace by Renown 129

28th Septemner 2008 - 29B New Route Brighton to Tunbridge Wells via Ringmer peak Mondays to Saturdays and every 2 Hours on Sundays replacing Sundays 29

5th April 2009 - 29B Additionally serves Whitehill and new Morning Peak 29C from Tunbridge Wells to Brighton via Whitehill and Isfield

29th September 2009 - All Tunbridge Wells Journeys now go via Steel Cross

17th April 2011 - Journeys between Brighton and Lewes now every 10 minutes with new short 28 Between Brighton and Lewes Bus Station also Sunday frequency now every 30 minutes with 28 to Uckfield and 29 to Tunbridge Wells, 29A and 29C replace by Route 29 witch go via Isfield or Rose Hill and new Limited stop 29X

16th September 2012 - 28 Sunday Journey now serve Manor Park in Uckfield

15th September 2013 - 28 now serves Brighton Academy

14th April 2014 - 28 Short Journeys extended to Uckfield as Route 29

20th April 2015 - Short 29 to Uckfield replace by 29B to Uckfield

23rd September 2019 - Daytime 29B to Uckfield replaces by 28 to Lewes Tesco

March-May 2020 - Covid-19 Timetable with 1 hour being two 28 runing every 30 minutes between Brighton and Ringmer and the next having one 28 between Brighton and Ringmer and 29 Brighton to Tunbridge Wells (29B and 29X Suspended, 29B Withdrawn)

May 2020 - 10 minute frequency returns with 4 Route 28, two to Ringmer and two to Lewes Bus Station and Two 29 with one to Uckfield and one to Tunbridge Wells

16th September 2022 - 28/29 No longer serve Lewes Bus Station

23rd July 2023 - 28 Extended beyond Ringmer to Halisham via Laughton no longer serves Halland and Uckfield,New 29A to Heathfield via Blackboys, Buses now every 20 minutes between Brighton and Lewes on Sundays

24th July 2023 - 28 Extended to Eastbourne via Halisham and Polgate, 29 to Tunbridge Wells up from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes, New 29B running in one direction each way from Tunbridge Wells to Brighton via Halland replaceing 28 and Afternoon 29X replace by 29
