Can see improvement. Only using JPEG presently. Testing on fine detail was sharper. Even hand held. Focusing improved also. Used sd card. Tried to use super fast 8GB sundisk 10 card but I think the computer was having trouble writing to the card through the card reader. Tried an old lexar 2GB platinum 2 and had no trouble at all:)

my 2 week old hs10 arrived with 1.04 & i'm glad to hear that the upgrade has made a difference to older devices

there's a few people not really rating the hs10, so it's brilliant that fuji have responded to user concerns & resolved them

for me, as the cam came with the lastest version, i never experienced the slow focus & lack of sharpness, so i wondered "why the negitive comments" from trusted reviews etc?

Now i know :-)

I am also much happier with the manual focus window.

I think it is the whole program not just a patch. Have a look on the companies upgrade page, if no details compsre the size of the different upgrades, if all of about the same large size then mostly it is the whole program.

where do you see which version you have currently ?
Adam Bonn Posted 14 years ago
www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/software/firmwar...

hi Bareego,

the above is a link to the latest firmware

To check the firmware version:
Turn on your FinePix HS10 / HS11 while holding down the [DISP/BACK] button.
The number displayed on the screen is the camera's "CURRENT" firmware version.

the latest version is 1.04

you MUST use a sandisk card (apparently)

@Beasty /:)

yeah every version of the FW is a complete entity, much like how you could install windows 7 on a PC running XP without having to install windows vista first !!
