"Consecrated to God most great and good, in remembrance here the illustrious Lady Ann Baroness Windsor awaits a glorious resurrection in Christ: daughter and one of the heirs of the distinguished gentleman Thomas Rivett, gilded knight of Chippenham in the county of Cambridge, and Lord of this manor of Stoke Nayland, by his second marriage (to Griselda daughter of the illustrious Lord William Pagett, Baron Beudesert, companion of the most noble order of the Garter in the reigns of 4 monarchs: Henry Vlll, Edward Vl, Mary and Elizabeth: a privy counsellor of Mary and moreover called to the office of Privy Seal) Lady Anne was the wife of the noble Baron Henry Lord Windsor and after his death remained to the end of undaunted spirit; By her marriage she was the mother of serveral children, but left only 3 surviving: to wit Thomas the present baron, son and worthy heir of both his parents estates and titles, and 2 daughters with the same name, Elizabeth the elder and Elizabeth the younger"
"The Lady Ann was an outstanding woman in all good qualities of character and endowed with great physical beauty, strong in faith toward God, devoted to her husband and constant in love, and of extraordinary kindness and generosity to her family, to the faithful and particularly to the poor: she built a hospice here in this little town for the relief of common women worn out with want and enfeebled by age, and in her will she provided with generous loving kindness a pension to be paid to them each year for ever. At last she reached the inevitable season of her own old age and at 50 years old yielded up her soul to the everlasting spirit, strong in her faith in Christ on 27th of November in the year of salvation 1615. Her grieving son Thomas Lord Windsor lovingly and with many tears set up and dedicated this memorial to his dear mother such as it is, to bear public witness of his devotion"
"Here esteemed lies a lady, pious, practical, beautiful, modest, devoted to God & faithful to her husband: cherishing her children and to her servants most gentle and motherly as she was to those to whom, even on her deathbed she gave hospitality and shelter. Loved by her family, dear to her peers and a good friend to all her kin: Strong of character and intellect: secure in her distinguished inheritance, illustrious with threefold nobility; he sons, her husbands and because her mother was the daughter of Guy Paget, her father a guilded knight. Alas nor rank, nor virtue can prolong her years, here she lies buried"
Son Thomas died without issue, the barony becoming extinct.
He sold the estates to Thomas Williams - Church of St Mary Stoke by Nayland Suffolk
