The Beaumonts sold Elton manor in the lifetime of her parents to Sir Nathaniel Riche, which was later acquired by Sir Thomas Proby d1689 www.flickr.com/gp/52219527@N00/gv1851 who rebuilt Elton Hall by 1668
Having no male heirs , his brother John Proby 1710 inherited, but only left an unmarried daughter
The hall and manor descended through the male line first to their cousin William, governor of Fort St. George, and eventually to William’s grandson, John Proby 1st Lord Carysfort
