This is beautiful Banksy! She always manages to look befuddled. I suspect she prefers squidgier fruit than these Granny Smiths but the apples do highlight how tiny these Lesser Tenrecs are.

Nothing makes me happier than biting into a shiny apple.

"Eat an apple on going to bed, and you'll keep the doctor from earning his bread." – old Victorian Welsh rhyming saying (circa 1860s).

The theme for "Smile on Saturday" for the 28th of June is "fruit on a white background". With this theme, I am allowed to choose real or imitation fruit against an all-white background. Anyone who follows my photostream knows that I love and collect 1:12 size miniatures which I photograph in realistic scenes. The artifice of recreating in minute detail items in 1:12 scale always amazes me, and it’s amazing how the eye can be fooled. Thus I have chosen a selection of my very lifelike looking fruits from my miniatures collection for you today. I hope you like my choice of this week’s theme, and that it makes you smile!

The red and yellow tinted apples are made by hand of polymer clay and are hand painted. They came from a specialist miniature supplier in Germany. The remainder of the fruit in this photograph came from Beautifully Handmade Miniatures in Kettering.

Crazy Tuesday Theme: choose one colour

😄HaPpY CrAzY Tuesday 😄

I almost always start the day with a freshly squeezed juice. This one is made with apple, lettuce, spinach, parsley, alfalfa sprouts, a slice of lemon with peel, ginger, turmeric, chlorella algae powder and a piece of watermelon with peel.

Yesterday I was thinking about how difficult it is to say positive things about myself. Somehow in society we are sent a message that it is acceptable to tear ourselves down especially in front of other people but never really say positive things. We readily point out our short comings and flaws and hesitate tooting our own horn. Are you ready for everyone to walk around telling you how great they are? It sounds terrible to me, I can't stand hearing it from the orange man, it is delusional coming from him.

Trying a monochrome palette today. While editing my image I managed to spill an entire cup of coffee on my keyboard and desk, I forget how clumsy I can be. I will look on the bright side, my desk has now been wiped down and everything has a coffee aroma. Not sure how far I am going to take this color thing it makes for easy composition, but many experiments with exposure and editing Happy Monday!

12/30 + 12-12-08) 30 Days, One Object.

While reading a book on my deck around dusk last night , I see this huge female Raccoon walking across my fence! I only had my cell to take a few pics, not too happy with the quality, better than nothing I guess! Maybe 10 min. later two little ones started walking across & shortly after the dad followed! It was getting too dark to get a decent shot at that point!
