Foto presa amb una Kodak Retina II (model 142), fabricada entre 1937 i 1939; objectiu Schneider-Kreuznach Xenon f2.8 / 50mm; Fomapan 100 revelat "invers" amb HC110 dil. A, clorur ferric i amoniac.

Photo taken with a Kodak Retina II (model 142) made c.1937-1939; Schneider-Kreuznach Xenon f2.8 / 50mm lens; Fomapan 100 reversal developed, with HC110 dil. A, and ferric chloride and ammonia double bleach.
For this batch of reverse (ie direct positive/slide) tests, I used HC110 dilution A like most others, but for the final part of the process I added a change. Instead of re-exposing the negative to a light bulb for a minute or so and then fixing it, I used Iron Out as recommended by the Analog Resurgence YouTube channel. Interestingly, this powder product, dissolved at a rate of 14 gr. per 300 ml. of distilled water (ESPECIALLY distilled water, does NOT work with tap water) re-exposes and fixes the negative in one run. Do it for 5 minutes and inversions every minute. And it turns out that this product (Iron Out) is... a toilet unclog!!!
It works well enough, as you can see, and I've also tried it with exposed 8mm cinema film reversal development, where removing it from the spiral to re-expose seems much more delicate and tedious.

Tiger's eye (also called Tigers eye or Tiger eye) is a chatoyant gemstone that is usually a metamorphic rock that is a golden to red-brown color, with a silky luster. A member of the quartz group, it is a classic example of pseudomorphous replacement by silica of fibrous crocidolite (blue asbestos). An incompletely silicified blue variant is called Hawk's eye.

So I used my crystal to see how the light refraction would look. I think I got clearer, more precise lines, and the colours came through great. I used distilled water, which got rid of the air bubbles from the faucet. I like the colours.
I love the fresh produce in AquaVita. Everything tastes delicious, and the arrangements are always beautiful.
AquaVita also provides spigots for filling your bottles with freshly distilled water. I should photograph that too...

Having trouble sleeping? I just had my calming, soothing, and relaxing mixture: Green Tea + Chamomile Tea + Ginger Tea.
I was thinking of adding a White Chunk Macadamia Cookie too...;)) I bought these yesterday at Walgreens. I went there for distilled water. We have hard water from the Colorado River in Tucson. It does not taste good at all!! I have found using distilled water in my tea pot and also in my coffee maker makes a really big difference, leading to much more delicious beverages...

Submitted for World Anthotype Day 2023
The golden toad (Incilius periglenes) was last sighted in its Costa Rican habitat in 1989, where a lone male was observed calling in vain for a mate. Likely the last of his kind, he had also been heard calling the prior year (1988), which marked a cataclysmic population decline from approximately 1,500 individuals spotted in 1987.
Hypothesized cause(s) of extinction include: limited range, climate change, pollution, chytridiomycosis (an introduced fungal disease).
Image Details: Bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis) dye was extracted from chopped fresh roots simmered in a distilled water/ethanol solution (with a pinch of Glauber's salt). The dye was brushed onto Arches HP 140lb watercolor paper in several coats, and the image was exposed for 2-3 days in full summer sunlight in Austin, TX. The final anthotype was coated with Renaissance Wax and gently polished with a microfiber cloth.

Bottled water is a big business and all signs point to the fact that it is still growing by leaps and bounds. Is bottled water just the latest health fad? In all honesty when we started research on this we truly believed it was. After reviewing as much material as we could find we now have a...

This bar is amazing for those who need a little extra 'scrub' in their soap. Completely coloured and scented with fresh coffee grounds, they also offer a powerful exfoliant. What better way to obtain a 'pick-me-up' in the morning?
Fans of sour candy should enjoy this. The Lemonhead bar packs a punch. Though you won't pucker like Renée Zellweger, you will be reminded of school-yard days, fighting to see who could eat the most lemon tart candies at once.
Poppyseeds added to help exfoliate the skin.
A cup of water frozen unintrentionally, displayed a streaking in the water as it froze. I've seen this numerous times this year as water freezes in bottles in my car. I'm not saying it is a new thing. I'm just saying I have noticed the pattern for the first time to my knowledge.
This photo was chosen from a current cesspool of photos obtained as I went on a rampage at my place taking photos of tons of things for no apparent reason. But when I just observed that the weekly theme is 'monochrome' I knew the ice photo that I took last night on white would be a monochrome image that I could use.
Macro Mondays pool where each Monday we post one or two images showing our depiction of the theme of the week, This week's theme is 'monochrome.'
It looks to me that this older bottle has been re-used at some later date for distilled water. The label I think is much newer than the bottle.

Remember when you were a kid, and you’d eat those fruity creamsicles by the dozens? If you’re anything like me, you probably still do... except I tend to huddle in a corner and cry about it afterwards. Now you can get be surrounded by the creamy scent, with no shameful guilt afterwards!
Fresh ground almonds were added to moisturize and exfoliate the skin.

The image if from my work testing Polypan F. Polypan is a mystery film. It is marketed as if there is some loose relationship with the Ilford product.
This is completely untrue.
All we do know is that it is a Motion Picture stock, due to the fact it has Bell & Howell perforations. Nobody knows where on earth it came from because the film rebate has no markings whatsoever. Usually Motion Picture stocks have a manufacturers code to denote the stock type or a bar code and perhaps a batch number.
The film can be rated between 25 & 200 ASA, depending on the developer you used.
I have been testing times from the massive Development Chart.
A little work now saves ruining anything of value later.
The film is a 50 ASA, but the process time is closer to that of a 100 speed film, which rules out it being Pan F on Polyester base.
One thing that is immediately obvious is the minimal anti-halation layer.
Anything reflecting light will have a lovely glow.
I'll try to upload an image that shows this effect.
We're moving in May! Yay! I don't want to risk driving over 2000 miles with lye in our vehicle, so I'll be making a fair amount of soap in the next few months. Yay! Thankfully I only have enough lye for 5 or 6 or 8 more batches....
Just a nice simple Castile style soap today. No scent, just 90% Olive Oil and 10% Castor Oil.
There may be a photo of it in gel stage later...there may not be :)

Sometimes you catch a scent that makes you feel warm inside. Like vanilla and spices, or a burning living room entertainment unit when your best friend fell asleep next to it with a lit cigarette. This is one of those - without the crumbling furniture. The scent lingers in the air long after you use it.
Poppyseeds and fresh-ground almonds added for exfoliation.
