Today we helped prepare and serve lunch to about 40 homeless teens. I got to meet up with University of Washington students, including Jesse from Saratoga Springs, as well as colleagues from CT, IL and WA. This center offers wonderful opportunities for teens, it is beyond heartbreaking that on top of teen issues, they also have to worry about trying to get a cot indoors every day. Of the 40 kids we saw, only 25 get to sleep there, and really not even that since some of the cots are reserved for those who work at the center. Its a put your name in a hat and hope for the best situation.
