Bateleur Eagles usually come down to the water in the middle of the day.
They are a colourful species with a very short tail which, together with its white underwing coverts, makes it unmistakable in flight. The tail is so small the bird's legs protrude slightly beyond the tail during flight.
Size: The average adult Bateleur is 55 to 70 cm long with a 186 cm wingspan. The wing chord averages approximately 51 cm. Adult weight is 2 to 2.6kg. (Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Botswana)

The magnificent tree frog, also known as the splendid tree frog, is a tree frog species first described in 1977. It has a limited range, only occurring on the north-western coast of Australia in the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
That's it's name Magnificent/Splendid Tree Frog and it deserves it.

Bow Lake is located on the Bow River, in the Canadian Rockies. Bow Lake was one of the stops during driving on the Icefields Parkway. It was a cloudy morning; I was amazed by the magnificent peaks and reflections on the lake. The view is stunning. Spending some time walking around the lake, the scenery of Canadian Rockies is out of this world.

Anna's hummingbird (Calypte anna) is a medium sized hummingbird (3.5-4.5") native to the West Coast of North America. Males have a distinctive reddish throat and head that is visible in direct sunlight.
Seen in the pollinator garden outside the San Diego Zoo. Conservation status: least concern

One of my 5 most favourite locations, so peaceful and calming. I try to arrange visits when the wind forecast is low so the water surface is like a mirror reflecting The Langdale Pikes and just behind the tarn, the beautiful little Side Pike, which I hope to walk up this year (while I'm still able!) as it affords some lovely views back to the tarn.

The mountain of Marsco towering above Glen Sligachen on the Isle of Skye. Part of the magnificent Cuillin mountains that dominate the skyline in the south of the island. All but a distant memory now.

One from a trip in 2021. Elgol really is a place I feel I must visit each time I'm on Skye, it just seems to have everything a photographer craves, not least mountains that go into the sea and more often than not, moody light.
Srirangam in South India is famous for the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple complex. A major pilgrimage destination for Hindus, it is the largest temple complex in India.
