Gruene Hall, Texas
My wife and I spent a night in San Antonio this weekend and stopped in on Gruene (pronounced "Green" despite the spelling) on the way back. This quaint little town outside New Braunfels boasts the oldest dance hall in Texas. Gruene Hall is pretty famous and hosts many extremely well known bands. Today, Belleville Outfit were playing all afternoon. I had not heard the band before - they sound like a hybrid of "8.5 Souvenirs" and "Asleep at the Wheel" - but it was a great show. I'm sure we'll be hearing more from these folks in the future.
I would greatly appreciate your vote in the 2010 Photoblog Awards. Thanks!
