Ayer Lion

This gorgeous lion is a monument for James Cook Ayer, a wealthy Lowell businessman. The town of Ayer, Massachusetts, was named for him. The lion had been a symbol for Ayer’s patent medicine company. Created by Price Joy, a British sculptor, the lion can be seen in Lowell Cemetery.
