Our cat Rufina has no idea that today is January 1st, 2015. Nor does she care. She does, however, care that we drop little morsels of fish for her to eat from time to time, regardless of the date.
In those rare moments, she is more attentive than usual, and every small click of the tongue gets a stare. At least the first time.
