Cathedral of Palermo. Dedicated to Mr Tilak, one of my best friend.

This is one of the masterpieces of the Arab-Norman architecture. Was built on 1185 by Sicilian, Arab and Norman workmanships. It is an other clear example of the Vitruvio's lesson, the great architect of the Roman Imperor Caesar Augustus. Was built in the place where there was the main Mosque of Palermo, after the Arab domination ended on 1036. On 1797 the dome was added to the structure by the architect Fuga'. A tragic mistake ?? Dedicate to all who love Sicily and Palermo
