8
00:00:51,000 --> 00:00:55,000
One day, I was passed by a red QQ car.

9
00:00:55,000 --> 00:01:00,000
10
12
00:01:09,000 --> 00:01:14,000
I easily just stepped on the gas and forced the QQ off the road.

13
00:01:15,000 --> 00:01:20,000
The QQ driver was furious, but I calmly said:

15
00:01:26,000 --> 00:01:31,000
Driving a QQ wasn't your mistake. Your mistake was trying to challenge a Honda.
16
00:01:32,000 --> 00:01:36,000
You can't possible match up to a Honda.
19
00:01:46,000 --> 00:01:50,000

20
00:01:50,000 --> 00:01:56,000
AFX-II and V4 FF1148 system Working with a 33MHz Crystal

As you can see in the waveform, it is displaying the 33Mhz clock frequency the daughter card is running at. The computer is running telnet into the AFX-II motherboard to control the Viritex 4 FF 1148 FPGA chip on the daugter card.

You can login through the Ethernet port, and there is a MontaVista Linux in the motherboard. You can test all kinds of Xilinx FPGA chips on this system. The System clock is 80MHz and the Configuration clock is 33MHz on the AFX-II motherboard. The Digital Oscilloscope is a Tektronix TDS 3034.

You can login through the Ethernet port, and there is a MontaVista Linux in the motherboard. You can test all kinds of Xilinx FPGA chips on this system.
The input/output board for a Japanese Keyboard with 106 Keys. I spilled water on the keyboard, and the keys stopped working. I have to take out everything inside the keyboard, wiped everything, and put them back together. Afterall, a Japanese keyboard is kinda hard to find in the US.

At the back, the keyboard side has 26 pins and the computer side has 4 wires. This is the only chip in your own keyboard, and it is placed under the Num-Caps-Scroll-Lock LEDs. The rest of the keyboard is made of plastic sheet of capacitors and mechanical buttons. The word "SUNG WEI" seems to suggest this keyboard is "made in China" as well.

Good lord the keyboard works at the end.

A SBC DSL (Digital Subscriber Line or high speed internet) filter. This filter is responsible for filtering out computer signals from voice signals in a normal ground telephone line.
This filter requires no power supply, and has 1 input and 2 outputs. Input is the phone jack, and outputs are connected to the DSL modem and a normal phone.
The filter is composed of 2 inductors and 3 capacitors. I drew out the schematic of the circuit, and after tidying up the circuit. I figured out they are just an AC low pass filter and a high pass filter.

Few of the hard disks pass Bill's test of accessibility. All of them failed Bill's stability test. In other words, these hard disks were too unreliable to be used.

Hard Disks 050226

Array of hard disk (about 17 of them) arrived at Bill's Apartment for free.
A company upgraded all their computers and threw away the old hard disks.
Few of the hard disks pass Bill's test of accessibility. All of them failed Bill's stability test. In other words, these hard disks were too unreliable to be used.

A tour of the Berkeley Microfabrication lab, which is normally not opened to the public nor students in Berkeley. Bill had a chance to go into the Class 100 (100 particles in one cubic feet) clean room. Bill dressed up in casual bunny suit too.
Berkeley microlab has very expensive instruments in there. Even the windows are specially tinted.
