The ground was littered with evidence of this being an unofficial shooting range. Thousands of these all over made me think of the people who strip telephone poles of their copper wires to sell to metal recyclers - where are they here??
It does seem to be a good area to use for this, as you can easily see any vehicles arriving and so be aware and careful of other visitors. It's otherwise remote except for being right off the main highway, which is only a connector through the wilderness to towns - not like the overpopulated highways where I live, bleeding exits left and right to feed the urban sprawl. Seward Highway is a beautiful road to drive.
