Cute cat but the shot is out of focus and has problems of DOF. Also has problems of composition, it is noisy, maybe a tighter crop could help. In the other hand the light is beautifull.

Technical merit ...a very beautiful animal, the eyes and areas in focus seem sharp and detailed although on the larger image it seems slightly soft ...(I'm guessing you wanted the very shallow DOF) ... the lighting is difficult from this angle (you lose a lot on the left side, and blow out some of the detail on the right ... it's shots like these that using a fill-flash helps to bring out lighting in dark areas to show hidden colors) ... (2.5/3)

Artistic merit ...I like the pose you caught the cat in - quite good, but the shallow DOF and difficult lighting take some of the impact away for me (I would have liked to see the cat from a little more of an angle shifted around to the right) ... (2/3)

Bonus point ... (0/1) (reserved for faves)

Good cat shot....animals are always hard to shot. i like the composition but the exsposure is to dark and then light. did you use defuse/glow filter on this pic? like Alvaro said focus is off. need to see more of his face too.

    MiRea's Realm group 3.5/7.

Composition isn't original, highlights are blown out, focus is non-existent.

Very beautiful cat, though (Bengal?). I'd love to get an opportunity to photograph such a pretty subject.

Nice colors on the cat, but the background appears washed out.

Your cat reminds me of an ocelot (which means I think he/she is very handsome)

Great lighting and color! It's really too bad that the focus is off on the cat's face though. I could live with the paws and grass being OOF as long as the whole head/face was sharp.
