Ular Lidi Hijau

Oriental Whip Snake, Ahaetulla prasina, Ular Lidi Hijau

That evening we have a green visitor in the garden. I rarely photograph snakes because they simply make my skin crawl .... but, this one look harmless. So i move as close as possible without disturbing it. This is the largest and most common species of whip snake in Malaysia. Its inhabited forested areas up to 2,100m throughout Southeast Asia. Aboreal and diurnal. Usually can be seen moving slowly from trees to trees looking for it favourite prey, lizards. This one doesn’t stay long in the garden, maybe it don’t want to be photograph.
