I fought the law...

Circa 1941 railroad bridge over the Tuscarawas River in Massillon (Stark County) Ohio USA. This bridge stretches nearly 630 feet across the Tusc River.

UPDATE: My thanks and gratitude to the research department of the Massillon Public Library for the following history of this bridge:

Pennsylvania RR bridge circa 1941

On 7/16/1941 E.J. Albrecht Co. of Chicago was awarded the contract to do all work on this bridge except the steel work. When war was declared in late 1941, all work stopped.

In February 1946 Mt. Vernon Bridge Co was awarded the contract.

Supposedly it is the only railroad bridge that is on a grade AND a curve. The track is banked. It opened in approximately 1947.
