Fannie E. S. Heck (1862-1915) social activist and writer, lived here. Built in the Second Empire architectural style.

 

HERE is a nice write-up on this Second Empire Victorian gem with some interesting local history.

UPDATE: THIS Queen Anne-style house in California beats the "heck" out of even The Heck House for gaudy and ostentatious.
