Monapo, Moçambique

Store selling fabric next to the highway in Monapo, Nampula Province, Mozambique. Much of this fabric still is made in Africa, and customers usually buy the fabric in markets like this one and then bring it to their tailor to make clothes. This system creates jobs for local people, but the vast influx of donated used clothing from the industrialized world which is sold cheaply in roadside markets nearby is creating competitive pressures.
