USS North Carolina, Wilmington NC
I visited the battleship a few days ago and as I was processing some of the images yesterday, it hit me that today is the 70th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor bombing. I'm glad it worked out that way because I always love having something reflective or historic to share on days like this. The USS North Carolina was a highly decorated ship in WWII and was part of every major Naval offensive in the Pacific theater. She was awarded 15 Battle Stars during her service as well. The North Carolina is now moored in Wilmington, NC and is a National Historic Landmark and open for tours.
