cracked iphone screen - Day 3

Well this is Day 3 with my cracked iPhone screen.

Yep, on Saturday I put the dogs out and when it was time to come inside, I got knocked aside by the 2 year old puppy, and I lost my grip on the phone. It fell face first flat onto the concrete. Damn! I was in shock for a few seconds, then after cursing myself for not having a good grip, decided it was time to move onward with a cracked iPhone (no... not jail broken... just screen broken)

It is a bit hard to read text on the screen now, however the iPhone still performs its other duties quite well. It makes calls, take photos, runs apps and plays music admirably

So the bubbling you see next to the cracks is actually a screen protector that I put on after the drop. Its purpose right now is not to protect the screen (like it needs it anymore) but to keep the small glass bits from coming out in my hands.

The glass has held itself together well, but after 1 full day of use it was obvious that it was not comfortable to run fingers over the broken glass (though none are poking upward at this time). It was also obvious that small bits of glass (between the breaks) were falling off the phone. I didn't want these glass shards all over the house and possible lodged in our toes, so the screen protector is now acting as a holding-together device... almost like clear duct tape. LOL.

So.... keep a very good grip on your phone. You don't want this to happen to your phone.
