version with the stippling i had in mind,(thanks for the tips Leon!) like many old posters,

kept a solo OPC logo up high to keep the socialist feel.

The solid colour background was definitely too... boring. I don't think the OCP pattern was necessarily too distracting, but SOMETHING was needed.

I think this is a really good compromise.

What paper stock/finish option do you think your prints look best on? I want to buy several. Keep up the great work

y'know, i need to get some samples so i can be more informed on the options. the standard finish looks good with these darker, aged style prints, IMO, and anything looks good behind glass (theirs or yours(cheaper)

it's so much better than the real poster I get angry. I was deprived for decades.

Hi there, just came across your work and love it.

I was wondering if you would like to sumbit some work to a new website I am creating called alternativemovieposters.com.

It is basically a place for artists, designers, illustrators, typographers and general creative types to show, sell or just browse people's takes on the movie poster.
It is something I have enjoyed doing for a while now, and i know it is something other people enjoy playing with, so why not have one place where all this work can live, be enjoyed and sold.

The site is still under construction and I have had a lot of submissions from artists, designers, illustrators and typographers the world over, and to have you on board would be great.
If you'd like to know more, please drop me an email and I'll send you the details.

    Many thanks

    Simon
