Supermoon Over Mt Baker RR5W0528w "Super Moon"
Once again, I had to travel several feet out to my deck to take these shots. This is the "Supermoon" of March 19, 2011 where the perigee of the moon's orbit brought it closer than it has been in 19 years. It is only about 14% bigger than a "normal" full moon but, fun just the same. You can see Mount Baker silhouetted by the moon's glow.
The clouds cleared about one hour before sunset after obscuring the mountains for most the day.
