FISH #170 - Peacock Bass (Part 1/3)

Caught on 7Mar2010

Rod - Berkeley Lightning Rod

Reel - Daiwa Caldia KIX 1500

Line - Spiderwire- 8 lbs braided

Lure - Duel Aile Magnet pink head

The weather was super hot and surprisingly we had not experienced smelly scumbs or algae problem at the reservoir, water is clear, visibility was great ! AS had a head start and I was still struggling with misses. decided that I should change spot and explore the far right. NOTHING! AS was equally disappointed although he already landed one PB. He walked off from me to the start point apparently engrossed on his blackberry. I suddenly spotted a nest pair of PB. I called out to him, whistled...everyone else was looking at me except him, felt embarrassed for creating noise, contunued to try and managed to tease one of the PBs to take a bite. Such a fat one. Finally landed a catch today! I quickly snapped a few shots and released it back to water. The partner fish, however, had gone out of sight!
