This year we made little fish pockets from coloured craft paper and the children decorated them in whatever creative way their minds took them.
Pegged onto twine and hung on picture hooks.
Inside each fish is a little note with an activity for the family to do. Find a sample list on my website.
Take a look at the Origami Club site for diagrams on how to fold these fish.
Parents: having unsealed pouches means that you can adapt the activities inside to match the mood of the household. I usually plan ahead with a spreadsheet outlining what activities we'll do and on what days (so at least I'm prepared!), but I found that having the ability to shuffle around was welcomed as our plans unexpectedly changed.
