Your photo makes me homesick. I want to go back! NY is like a giant candy store.

Amazing low-light capability for the D700. Got to give it to Nikon for making such a jewel of a camera. Too bad this is out of reach for people like myself. God these cameras can be expensive. Here in Mexico Nikon's market protection constraints help increase the cost of such a baby to close to 6,000 USD. The 5D still runs for 45,000 pesos or about 5,000 USD. If you choose to purchase a Nikon in the US, you don't have access to have international guarantee rights but have to return the camera to the seller in the country purchased.

The D700 really isn't a cheap camera. Canon's 5D is much cheaper, but also much older technically. It will be interesting to see if Canon unveils the 5Ds successor in this year Photokina exhibition and what its price will be.
