The intimacy of green
This is another shot taken "deep" in Forest Park. There are no epic hikes required here to get into an amazing lush and green forest. I managed to be convinced a couple of weekends ago to go out on a hike with Erik and Danielle, and I was reminded of just how much I had forgotten about this park, which is kind of surprising considering in high school I ran miles and miles along the trails up here all year round. But over time I had forgotten just how accessible this area was, and how much shorter of a drive than it is to say... the Gorge, for similar scenes.
I seem to be on a bit of a green binge lately too with my last couple of shots. But then again, this is the season of green. Some might argue Spring is greener than Winter, but not in the Pacific Northwest. Spring may be the time of new leaves, but moss owns the Winter and is capable of a green all its own.
