Ramona Falls

Sometimes the purpose of a photo is not to expound some cutting edge technique, nor to demonstrate the remarkable abilities of a piece of equipment. Sometimes, of the many available, the purpose of a photo is simply to communicate something beautiful. And at that time, technique becomes largely irrelevant, as does equipment, and we are left with an object of beauty that speaks regardless of the means used to transport it to the audience. And in those times it is ok to forget the words cliche and formulaic, because they just aren't that important.

This is one of the shots I got one a past trip up to Ramona Falls with Rasone, Thespeak and Manyfires. This is such a dynamic waterfall, one of my favorites in Oregon.

I think this will be an image I do a bit more work with, it has some unrealized potential left, but I also wanted to get something up today. All this heat makes me thirsty, which makes me think of water. Probably why I gravitated towards this shot.
