dry socket photos

I noticed that the internet doesn't have any photos of dry socket (AKA alveolar osteitis). So, while I wait for my dental appointment tonight in no small amount of pain, I thought I would take some photos and let something good come of this.

Dry socket is when the clot following a tooth extraction either doesn't form, or doesn't stay put over the hole. The jaw bone and sometimes the nerves are exposed. You can see my jawbone through the hole on the back lower left side of my teeth.
