Hunt Camp Under the Stars
Shot of our elk hunting camp from a few weeks back, when I went for a late season hunt near Meeker, Colorado. This year was insanely warm, which was not too bad for hiking and the camp, but bad for hunting. Previous years saw huge snow and highs in the single digits. Normally this late at night its between 0 and -20F, so I was thrilled to get a chance to romp around and take some night shots in balmy 30F temperatures.
For anyone who hasn't, camping in a huge canvass tent, with a wood fired stove for heat and frozen thanksgiving dishes for meals is the way to go! About as good as it gets.
This is a vertical pano of 3 shots, which is impressive since I was shooting at 16mm on my full frame.
Finals week is coming up quick so wish me luck!
