Alter Nature: We Can - Driessens & Verstappen - Morphotheque #9 (1997)
Balancing two genetically identical trees Tree Balance amplifies the fluctuations and micro adjustments of these seemingly still organisms and reveals the trees as dynamic adaptive systems rather than static icons that decorate urban streets. Tree Balance illustrates/demonstrates the constant interaction between genetic and environmental information, sometimes called the third helix, which produces the slow, often imperceptible, yet spectacular environmental changes in which we are immersed.
