Residential Tower "Park Plaza" - Munich
Architect: Steidle + Partner, Munich
Excerpt from the Architecture Guide "neues München":
The tower is an important element of the urbanistic concept worked out by Otto Steidle for Theresienhöhe. It towers well above the surrounding buildings and in its brilliant colors sets a distinctive mark as a reminiscence of the former fair tower demolished in the 60s. The facade is distinguished by the irregularity projecting , generously designed balconies. The pool of overall residential offers in the quarter is outlined by 89 units. The lights are on in the residential tower while the offices below are integrated in the normal occurences of district, of the town. A day care center for children is accommodated on the ground floor of the tower. The lighting concept for the interior stairwells was developed by Ingo Maurer.
