6:10 pm, Three Fridays Ago, 致遠一路二段

Today I'm going to introduce three popular (and somewhat related) street foods of Taiwan.

I say they are related because they each offer similar items[1] but they differ in how those items are cooked: by either frying, grilling or stewing. The grilling and the frying methods have meat items and the stewing one has more veggies.

In essence you pick what you want from the well-stocked carts and hand your selection to the vendor to either fry, grill or stew for you. In a few minutes they'll be in a bag ready for you to take away and enjoy.

This picture shows a vendor of the frying variety on 致遠一路二段.

[1] Common ingredients used across all three cooking methods include: sticky rice, pig's blood cake, tofu, fish cakes, fish balls, squid balls.
