      I know how it feels when cats and dogs actually love each other. I already had 2 small dogs, & found a kitten, which we kept. When the cat got about 2 months old, she started stalking and pouncing on my Maltese, who weighed only 5 lbs. To my surprise, he loved it! They would take turns at who's-chasing-who, had long staring contests, and loved each other in general. The cat ended up weighing 16 lbs, and I was scared she'd hurt the dog, but she never did.
