Alright so here are a couple photos from a small little shoot I did this past Wednesday. Normally the moment I get home I sit down and edit, cause I like to see how the photos turned out. Though that didn't happen this time, it was pushed back into the burners and sat there for a couple days, I was just a little busy and didn't have much time to work on these photos. So the whole shoot was something Nicole (the model and fellow photographer) wanted to do for awhile. She wanted to do some fashion shoot out in the woods, she even got her friend Jazz whos a makeup artist to come down and join us (she did the makeup for Nicole on a pervious shoot as well that's somewhere up in my Flickr). She did some crazy designs on her but it was on Nicole's back, I have a couple shots of it but the shots themselves weren't anything to write home about. I generally don't take photos of peoples backs, plus I'm no fashion photographer but I think these turned out alright. Kind of sucks because I prefer doing full body photos and I like showing off the environment more so than anything so its really hard to see the fine detail make up work Jazz did, feel kind of bad for not really showing it off in any of these shots.
We shoot this in High Park, never really been there before and I always wanted to, looks quite nice but I'll have to set a whole day aside if I really want to see it cause it's quite big. So while waiting for the makeup to be done I did some scouting and found a couple places to shoot. The shot above was on a semi fallen tree that I got Nicole to sit on, it was only about 5-6" off the ground but the problem was all the pointy looking deadwood under it. All these photos were taken with natural light under heavy shade, most of the shots were taken at ISO 800-1600, wideo open (F1.8) and they were all panoramas. I just uses natural light partly because I want to get a hang of shooting wih natural light more but mainly because I didn't want to lug around any more gear than I have to. What can I say I'm lazy.
Oh yea forgot to mention it the first time around but again the title for this photo is the title from another song by Metric. Haven't gotten sick of listening to them just yet.
