Nikon D810a ISO800 Master Dark & Bias Histograms
Just to check applicability for serious astrophoto with individual shots calibration before aligning and stacking.
Left border of 50x stretched histogram of the Master Bias (combined from 128 individual exposures at 1/8000 sec) and Master Dark (15 x 900 sec), ISO 800, +27C temperature, NEFs without compression.
Evident arguments for in-camera processing for RAW files are visible - the same mean level of signal on frames (~600ADU), histogram of the master dark is cut on the left side. Take it correct, Nikon and Canon both do this for RAW files our days.
Will results be affected? Will check on real sky shots.
