Laundry Day

Locals gathered at this point in Hampi, India every day to wash their clothes. The long strips of cloth are sarees.

We stayed on the far side of the river. There is no bridge, so small boats run back and forth from dawn until dusk. If you miss the last boat of the day, you're out of luck. Foreigners pay 50 cents to cross, locals only pay a quarter.
