Jogging across the Sheep Meadow

Central Park, mid-July 2008 - 47

Note: after this photo had been sitting on Flickr for about 4 months, I decided to "photoshop" it, to replace the gray, hazy sky in the background of the skyline of buildings, with a gradient-blue that fades into an off-white. Hopefully I didn't go overboard with this...

Note: this photo was published in a Jul 19, 2009 blog titled "Por donde no pasa el rebaño, crece la mejor hierba." And it was published in an Oct 5, 2009 blog titled "Primary Prevention of Obesity in Vertically Integrated Health Reform." It was also published as part of a reader response to a Dec 20, 2009 article titled "Great News! Confirmation of Financing, Confirmation of Christian de Portzamparc" in the "Wired - New York" forum.

Moving into 2010, the photo was published in a Mar 12, 2010 "Zen to Fitness" blog titled "Unconventional Bodyweight Exercises…." And it was published in an Oct 17, 2010 Frugal Mom blog, with the same title and notes that I had written on this Flickr page.

Moving into 2013, the photo was published in a blog titled "Photoshop Project."

**************************

After visiting the Apple store in mid-town Manhattan for an unsuccessful effort to buy a new iPhone 3g (click here for a description of what that was all about), I decided to walk through Central Park in order to get back to the Upper West Side. These pictures were taken at various points during that stroll...

I'm now at the the northern edge of the Sheep Meadow, heading west, but looking southwest at the buildings and skyscrapers near Columbus Circle. There's not much to say about this picture; it speaks for itself, and I didn't crop any of it out ...

The guy in the green cap ran all the way across the field, from left to right; you'll see him in the next picture too...
