Central Park, mid-July 2008 - 23

After visiting the Apple store in mid-town Manhattan for an unsuccessful effort to buy a new iPhone 3g (see this page for a description of what that was all about), I decided to walk through Central Park in order to get back to the Upper West Side. These pictures were taken at various points during that stroll...

 

This was taken just inside the southeastern corner of Central Park, where a small pond presents a scenic backdrop against the skyline along Central Park South. However, this is looking north, away from Central Park South, toward a little footbridge that forms its own little backdrop against the flowers...
