Baseball field in Central Park

Upper East Side, Central Park - Jun 2008 - 024

These pictures were taken on two successive days when I had doctor appointments on the Upper East Side of NYC, and had the chance to walk along Fifth Avenue, and then through Central Park in order to return to my apartment on the Upper West Side, at Broadway & 96th

This was a view from the north end of the Great Lawn, looking south toward 59th Street and the skyline of mid-town Manhattan in the background.

There are, as you can see, quite a few baseball fields in the Great Lawn; but they were all idle on this late-morning late-June occasion as I strolled past.

Note: this photo was published in a March 29, 2009 Japanese blog about baseball, entitled "奪冠的機會?寫在09年球季前." And it was published on May 25, 2009 in a blog that had the curious title "Blogs with Balls NYC: June 13, 2009." It was also published in a May 4, 2010 blog titled "5 Low-Impact Ways to Experience Central Park."

Moving into 2014, the photo was published in an undated (early Nov 2014) blog titled "Software for Softball Coaching and Software for Softball Playbooks."
