Upper East Side, Central Park - Jun 2008 - 022
These pictures were taken on two successive days when I had doctor appointments on the Upper East Side of NYC, and had the chance to walk along Fifth Avenue, and then through Central Park in order to return to my apartment on the Upper West Side, at Broadway & 96th.
Approaching the sidewalk that circumnavigates the Great Lawn in Central Park, I happened upon a rather unusual sight: a line of several women, all pushing strollers, apparently listening to a leader in the front of the line (to the left of this photo) telling them every couple of seconds to skip, hop, and kick backwards with their left leg. I tried to get a photo of several of the women skipping/hopping/kicking in unison, but had too many other people and obstructions in the way. So this is the best I could do...
