Wapsi Leaves

It's slim pickings in Iowa this time of year for nature eye candy, but this tree caught my eye. There were dozens of trees in the area, but only this one still had its leaves after the whole winter. Crazy.

Must be an oak tree. That's about the only ones I've seen hold their leaves that long.

Yup--probably an oak. The wonderful contrasting warm/cool tones really make this shot, along with that fabulous shadow! Beautiful image!

Yes, a young oak. Beautiful tones here. Simplicity at its best.
