It's a Long Road ahead
From AZCA, I began a long walk up the ‘Paseo de la Castellana’, one of the widest and longest streets in Madrid, cutting through the entire northern half of the city. Even the one and a half mile segment between AZCA and um…a mile and half further up, seemed to go on forever. The bus lanes and the rows of trees lining the entire avenue made it almost impossible to photograph what was directly up ahead (i.e. those skyscrapers). This isn’t the most fascinating area of Madrid, this, it has to be said. The purpose was more about looking forward to whatever was at journeys end, and seeing if there was anything of interest en route. Could have done without the traffic lights in this photo, eh?
