This is taken last Sungay at Gamogori festival for summer. People enjoy watching the displays of the summer end fireworks as a finale of the festival. Its main feature is the Shosanjakudama fireworks with a radius of 650m that boast the largest fireworks on the Pacific coast of Japan.
Throughout the 1.5 hours of fireworks display, there is 3 such gigantic fireworks released in the sky. (Along with lots of "oohs" and 'wowws" from the crowd.) I only managed 1 or 2 decent pics of it. But the sheer size of the fireworks is really impressive.
P.S: I am on my summer holidays now in Japan. Expect to see more pics of Japan during this period.
