Memory Bracelet

There's this beach just North of Santa Cruz that has plenty of pleasant memories for me. A couple of years ago it closed and the pleasant memories remained.

Recently I returned to that beach and gathered some sand; now I have my memories of the beach physically with me.

    That's gorgeous! I love it. :-)
Is the beach still accessible? I've been thinking that I'd like to stop by on my way to Monterey at the end of the month, but didn't know if it was accessible or not.....

You cannot access it in the way we used to. Also, it seems that Beaver is back and was quite agitated that we were on "his" beach. No use in discussing the finer points of coastal laws with him. Still, the rest of the mile long stretch is very much open.

By the way, I can easily make one of these if you'd like one.

Hey, that is pretty cool. what did you use to make this? and how did you attach the brass casings without the sand sifting out later?

I would like to make one of these!

There are two rare earth magnets at the ends of the vinyl tubing inside the brass casing. This creates a hasp, so that you may remove the bracelet easily. The brass casing is then glued to one side of the vinyl tubing.

Fairly simple design that works well.
